About the Journal

Plasma and Fusion Research is an electronic journal published by The Japan Society of Plasma Science and Nuclear Fusion Research. The journal, covering the wide disciplines of plasma science and technology, is intended to provide an accessible and comprehensive source for analysis and contemporary information and data in all areas of plasma and fusion research.

A distinguishing feature of this journal will be the prominence accorded to papers exploring new ideas and concepts. The editors encourage and positively welcome highly innovative, even, speculative papers.

The journal consists of five sections:

Rapid Communications (page limit: 2 journal pages):
This is a section devoted to significantly new results, innovative idea or even untested feasibility that deserves rapid dissemination in the research community.
Letters (page limit: 4 journal pages):
This is a section for publishing important new results that may receive contemporary interests of the research community.
Regular Articles:
The article written in this section must be concise and complete reports of original results. There is no page limitation. Technical aspects of researches may also be published as regular articles, if they include important information for future developments.
Review Articles, Overview Articles:
The authors of articles published in these sections are normally nominated by the Editorial Board.

All publications are reviewed by the Editorial Board with consultations of international anonymous referees.
